No, you do not. Our price includes a plastic Snap-Lock urn suitable for indefinite storage or transportation/shipping. For those that choose to purchase an urn, please visit our “Merchandise” page for options that are available to you. Please keep in mind, that if you choose to purchase an urn, you do not have to make that choice when the death occurs. You can visit our online urn store at any time to purchase any ancillary products that you so desire.
How long will it take to receive the cremated remains?
Once we receive the County Medical Examiner approval to cremate (please see #3 in the “When a Death Occurs” tab) the cremation will occur within 3 business days. The cremated remains will be available for pickup in our office the 4th (fourth) business day. Should you wish us to deliver them to you, there is an additional delivery charge.
Do I/We have to come to your office to make arrangements?
No, as long as you live in Palm Beach, Martin or Broward Counties you have the option of coming to our office, or one of our representatives will meet you at a place of your choosing to complete the direct cremation arrangements. There is no additional charge for out of office arrangements. If you so choose, arrangements can be made via telephone; however, you will have to have certain documents notarized.
If I/We live outside of Florida, how will I/We receive the cremated remains?
Solace will send the cremated remains to you via USPS Express Mail. Please see our General Price List to applicable fees.
Can I/We witness or ID the deceased prior to cremation?
Yes. Please refer to our General Price List for applicable fees. Please keep in mind that we are not a funeral home. There will be no preparation of the body. The witness/ID will be done at our working cremation facility. The crematory will not cease operations and the witness/ID will be limited to a period of fifteen minutes with five persons (maximum).
